Are you an Aboriginal worker considering becoming a Board Members? Do you want to contribute to your community in a leadership role, but are not sure Board Members really do? “Get on Board!” is a 2-part workshop designed to give you a good understanding of the role and responsibilities of becoming a Board Member from a culturally appropriate perspective. Being on the Board of Directors of an organisation helps to ensure that your mob is represented and heard at the decision-making level. Co-designed and co-facilitated by Ken Zulumovski Hon DHSc (a Kubbi Kubbi first nation’s descendent) and Kerry Palejs (Masters Business Leadership), “Get on Board!” will help you take that important first step into being a Board Member. In this Online Workshop, you will be given the opportunity to: • Increase your knowledge in the role and responsibility of being a Board Member; • Increase your understanding of Board meeting protocols; • Increase your awareness of Governance, Finance, Risk & Strategy in terms of Board functions, and • Increase your confidence to take on a Board role.
